Fox Casts Three Leads in ‘Patty’s Auto’ Pilot, Roxana Sendejo in Talks For Role

Fox has announced the casting of three lead characters for its multi-cam comedy pilot “Patty’s Auto,” including the eponymous Patty.
Inspired by Patrice Banks’ Girls Auto Clinic, an auto repair shop with all female mechanics, the project centers on Patty, the intimidating owner of Patty’s Auto who will be played by “Straight Outta Compton” alumna Carra Patterson.
Patty makes it her mission to empower her female employees who include Jenna, to be played by “Schitt’s Creek” standout Sarah Levy, and Chyna, who will be played by Joanna Adler. Jenna is described as an insecure service technician in the throes of a divorce. Chyna, the forewoman of Patty’s Auto, is a practical jokester who gets emotional when she talks about cars and her husband of 18 years, Jimmy.
"Glee" alumna Roxana Sendejo is in talks to portray Liza, a service technician from Puerto Rico who works hard and parties harder. She gets asked out a lot by male customers, but Liza’s perfect man is a woman.
Fox also announced it has lined up Betsy Thomas to direct the pilot, and she will also co-executive produce. “The Big C” creator Darlene Hunt will serve as writer and EP. Hunt recently worked on ABC’s revival of “Roseanne” and “The Conners.” Her other credits include “Good Girls Revolt,” “90210,” and “The Goldbergs.”
Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman will also executive produce via their Brownstone Productions banner. Patrice Banks will serve as consulting producer. Warner Bros. Television, where Brownstone is under an overall deal, will produce.
The show will be a co-production between Warner Bros. and Fox Entertainment.

First of all, everything is booked for the weekend. You'll be flying out tonight to Paris and you are scheduled to fly back to Munich on Tuesday at 6:20 AM from Gatwick Airport. And of course it was not a hassle to switch things around. I also made final reservations for your trip back to New York: you're leaving Saturday July 21st at 9:30 AM. I'm sending you a copy of the confirmation e-mails.
Second, you didn't tell me yet about your dates for Toronto yet. Or if I should even make reservations for that flight. Are you still planning on making the trip during your break? And we've discussed your birthday but you haven't given me the final word on it. Are you still doing something out of town?
